Developing Ethical Leadership in Sport Management

Andrew Rudd

Abstract: The frequency of unethical behavior in sport organizations has stimulated calls to increase ethical leadership. However, how will these new ethical leaders be developed? The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that ethics is currently receiving sparse attention in the sport management field and therefore more attention to ethics is needed in order to develop ethical leaders for sport organizations. Additionally, this article provides guidance on how to develop sport management students into ethical leaders.
